welcome home.

The Endangered Sound Project is a collective of Houston-based musicians, artists, writers, and composers.

“Make the music last,” says Charles “CHUCK” Hunter. “When cultivating ideas those words are subconsciously on a continuous loop in the back of my mind.” Hunter’s passion for playing piano and writing extends to his early childhood, but it was his recent ballads penned for R&B artist Brandie Freely that altered his approach to making the music that lasts.

In 2012 Hunter, Freely, and writer Steve Hall, Jr. joined forces with producers Brandon Smith and Johnny “Square Biz” Jacobs to form The Endangered Sound Project, a free-spirited group, striving to create timeless music that touches the soul and effortlessly stirs emotion. Through their sound the collective intentionally and unapologetically remind the listener real music lives.

Since the formation of the collective CHUCK has relocated to Austin, TX where you can find him around town lending his gift to artists spanning from Country to R&B. But his love for Contemporary Jazz and Hip-Hop will be the foundation of his first solo project.

CHUCK is currently writing and recording his debut EP, D A Y B R E A K, and working with Smith on an EP as well. Both projects are said to be released this year.
